Kierra Edwards hopped up and down while leading a classroom of pre-kindergarten students in a counting song.
“I’ve never been so immersed in a culture and in education at the same time,” said Edwards, an Ohio State University student studying early childhood education. “This trip has impacted me greatly.”
To the outside person, volunteers are just playing with our students, but this interaction is fundamental because it teaches young learners through their play and helps them develop social skills. Whatever your skills, passions or talents are, you can help guide students on the right path to a successful future.
