The Southwest Florida Community Foundation opened its annual call for Community Impact Grant applications. The application period runs June 3-July 31.
Last year, nearly $600,000 was awarded to 21 local nonprofit organizations for both established and new programs that increase quality of life in sustainable and equitable ways for SWFL residents.
Funds from the grant helped teach 250 Tice students how to swim, matched 65 students with business mentors, assisted research and education around harmful algae blooms and more.
Grants for projects are made from the Foundation’s Field of Interest funds, as well as individual and corporate contributions.
