Our own Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center staff led the drive to clean closets out in support of homeless veterans. We worked with the Collier County Homeless Coalition, Wounded Warriors of Collier County, and the Collier County Veterans Council to collect needed items like clothing, sleeping bags, shoes, canteens and tents.
The results? Over two large truckloads of items. These veterans were there for us, so it’s only natural for us to be there for them. It’s another example of Hodges seeing a community need and doing something about it. We hope to have another drive later this year.
