A self-described “cook that became a writer,” Virginia Willis is the author of “Secrets of the Southern Table: A Food Lover’s Tour of the Global South,” and a number of other cookbooks featuring Southern cuisine.
Her career has taken her to the kitchens of celebrities such as Martha Stewart, Bobby Flay and Nathalie Dupree; she’s been on a first-name basis with Julia Child and baked cookies with The Rock. She talked to PRosé about her cooking, working with Martha Stewart, her love of Alaskan seafood and how Southern food is about much more than fried chicken.
