Changing the narrative of the CPA pipeline

by The 100 Companies

The number of college graduates with accounting degrees and those getting CPA licenses is getting smaller. Accountants get a bad rap – they’re portrayed as nerdy, boring and overworked during tax season. We are changing the narrative.

NJCPA created a member volunteer program to speak to high school students about the social impact that accounting and CPAs can have on businesses. We’re seeking to modify our membership categories to include college professors, employers and new professionals to help nurture the CPA pipeline.

By showcasing that accounting is what makes businesses thrive, we are driving a better, more accurate narrative for the profession.
