It’s National Hispanic Heritage month through Oct. 15. Originally, it was a week of celebration declared by President Johnson in 1968, and later expanded to a month in 1988 by President Reagan.
As a Hispanic-serving institution, we are proud of the heritage and contributions that Hispanics continue to make to our country and its economy. Nearly 45% of our students identify as Hispanic. We also have many Hispanic faculty and staff members who share in this month’s celebrations.
