Be part of International Coastal Cleanup Day

According to the World Bank Group, by 2050 we will increase waste generation by 70%. And, among the big contributors is electronic waste. In 2016 alone, around 44.7 metric tons of waste were generated which is equivalent to thousands of Eiffel towers (TrashHack.org).

Mark your calendars and save the date – September 17 is International Coastal Cleanup Day. If you are interested to join the global community in helping curb pollution, join Keep Collier Beautiful’s coastal cleanup event.

Volunteer participation is vital to this undertaking so make sure to register with friends, family or co-workers. Choose among the various cleanup sites all over Collier County. Your help is needed in removing trash and debris from waterways that eventually find their way to the oceans.

This event is in partnership with KCB, Collier County Board of County Commissioners, the City of Naples and Waste Management.
