I recently spent an adventurous afternoon at Babcock Ranch on a swamp buggy exploring four different Florida ecosystems – pasture, fresh water marsh, pine flats and cypress swamp.
On this fun and informative eco-tour, we learned about Florida history and the diverse environments we are lucky to have right here in our own backyard. Winding through swampy roads, we spotted hundreds of baby and adult alligators, amongst other wildlife.
Whether you’re a native or this is your adopted home, this is a great way to get up close and personal with our local environment. You can even pet an alligator!
