It’s hot. And, let’s face it, it’s just going to get hotter in the coming months. Here in Florida especially, we must be aware of these sweltering conditions and take precautions to avoid heat stroke.
A heat stroke occurs when the body reaches 104 degrees or higher, usually the result of prolonged exposure to and/or physical exertion in high temperatures. It’s associated with a variety of unpleasant symptoms, including confusion, altered speech, nausea or vomiting, and rapid breathing and a racing heartbeat.
But thankfully, a heat stoke can be prevented if certain tips, like wearing loose fitting clothing, are followed.
