National Root Beer Float Day takes place in August and Luminary Hotel & Co. will be celebrating by offering this creamy concoction to their guests and to the public to benefit the local hospitals of Children’s Miracle Network.

Ella Mae’s Diner, located at Luminary Hotel & Co., will join in this initiative to honor the legacy of J. Williard and Alice S. Marriott, who, in 1927, opened the nine-stool A&W Root Beer stand in Washington, D.C. that would grow and evolve into today’s Marriott International hotel company. Marriott remains Children’s Miracle Network’s longest standing partner.
