On Oct. 21-22, accomplished artists will demonstrate their skills, others will lead workshops and hands-on art stations, five duck stamp celebrities will present and an estimated 20-plus plein-air artists will paint at J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge as part of Art in the Wild.
The two-day event honors the 2023-24 duck stamp artists and the legacy of refuge namesake Jay Norwood “Ding” Darling, a Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist and artist of the early 20th century.
Additional activities include painting wine glasses, a nature journal hike, painting seashells and making recycled jewelry.
Participation is free, but registration is requested.
