by The 100 Companies

There is a rich history of women administering elections in Collier County.

Edna Cribb Santa began her career in 1961 as Supervisor of Registration. The position later changed to Supervisor of Elections, and Cribb served until 1981.

Supervisor Mary Morgan took office in 1981 beginning her career with a special election to determine if voters should adopt a charter for Collier County. The initiative failed, but Mary Morgan served until retiring in 2000.

Jennifer J. Edwards was appointed as Supervisor, launching her tenure with the 2000 presidential election and recount. Edwards was elected that same year and ran unopposed since taking office.
