The Gene Doyle Fishing Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 6-8, which will be the event’s final year.
The catch and release tournament for all ages opens with a kickoff celebration Oct. 6, followed by fishing Oct. 7 and 8. An awards banquet on Sunday evening at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club will feature a raffle, silent auction and special speakers.
“We listened to our anglers and guides and chose to move our tournament back to the fall for better fishing and hopefully the best turnout we’ve had yet,” said this year’s tournament co-chairs Matt and Katie Betz.
