2022 Primary Election voter registration, political party affiliation deadline approaches

by The 100 Companies

Florida holds closed primary elections and voters wanting to vote in Democrat or Republican primary contests must register within their party of choice by July 25.

There are six Republican contests during this election including for U.S. Congress, Commissioner of Agriculture and County Commissioner Districts 2 and 4 (only for voters who reside in these districts).

There are four Democratic contests including U.S. Senator, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and Commissioner of Agriculture.

Party affiliation is not a factor for nonpartisan contests including school board and judicial contests.
